The weatherman was wrong, as usual...

So when I left Portland last Friday, the weather report for this week was HOTHOTHOT, all week long. Naturally it cooled off Monday and was pretty cool the past couple of days with a shower or two. And at the beginning of the week the forecast for this weekend was mostly sunny, 65-70ish. And now they say mid 60s and rain. RAIN! At Egils? Surely they jest!

Problem is, I packed for warmer weather. I had to borrow a sweatshirt from James. And I left the black cloak at home. Sheesh...

I ran up the light red linen and James' mantle Tuesday, and my chemise yesterday. I did the embroidery on the mantle, except for that I ran out of embroidery thread with about a foot to go. I'll have to take it home with me to finish. Today I hope to get the tester for the poster bed done.

I'm having a powerful crazing for cookies...

Well, heck. Given your weather report for Crown, it sounds like you could use a rainy and 60* event like Egils!

We'll totally be there, by the by, and we'll definitely come by for teh visitz. : ) (We, by the way, is me and Tegan and Conor and Miriam and Sarah & Elaine (Teg's pals), and Laura + boyfriend will be there on Sat./Sun., too. Nice size group, but not too big, either. We're excited!)

Yay! Yes, do come by! You know, we're partying Saturday in honor of Larry's * 40 *th birthday! You should come by and give him a hard time :-) besides, there should be ypocras...

you do know how to find us, don't you? blue pavilion, white roof, mottoes around the fringes.

Rain at Egils? I thought that was a given. I still remember the Egils when I we measured it as a "good time" by the number of inches people had flowing through their tents. If it hadn't been for the cooler I think our mushroom tent would have floated away. And the next year when we had our first period pavilion and we were running out of time so decided to hot glue velcro along the sides to keep them up. No one told us that hot glue releases plastic when wet. :-)

Have fun!

Lainie! I hope you check teh internetz once more before you guys head out because I have a quick question!

Tegan and I are sick today, and have therefore made the call to come out on Saturday morning, rather than Friday night. Having never done that before (you trained us up right! ^_^) I was wondering if that will complicate things at all. E.g., can we still bring the car into the site on Saturday? Or should we expect to haul stuff? Anything else we should be aware of?

Thanks, Lainie! See you this weekend!

You should be able to bring the car onto site, but they may not let you onto the circle that goes around the eric and period camping area. SO I think it depends on where you are going to camp.

What are you camping in? If there's room we might be able to squirrel you in behind us or something. I'd just have to run it by Amalric, depending on where we are. He's never said no to me yet.:-)

We've got three little tents and a dayshade/kitchen situation. We could certainly squeeze, if you think you'd have room for us!

Thanks for the offer. If you don't see this before taking off, we'll just come find you tomorrow before we try to grab another spot. See you then! : )
