- *A member of the Order of the Laurel (SCA), once known as Elaine de Montgris, or 'Lainie', now Liutgard of Luxeuil, to reflect my Frankish interests,
- *An unrepentant Liberal,

Liutgard of Luxeuil: a Frankish Woman of Letters
Liutgard is a late 8th century noblewoman of Alemannic and Austrasian ancestry, who is a scholar and teacher in the court of Charles the Great. She spends a good deal of time arguing with Alcuin, mostly about St Augustine.
Elaine de Montgris: a Woman of letters in France
The Crusader-era Elaine is living in France in the year 1200. she has the same bunch of estates as the Gothic-era Elaine, and is a Trobaritz of some note.
Father Abelard: Canon Lawyer
Father Abelard is a Dominican living in France is an era that is vaguely 13th-14th century. He is a canon lawyer of some note and if he has an opportunity, will hold forth at some length on the laws of the Church. It's best not to let him get started.
